Profits with a Purpose

Inspired by the founder's mother, Learning: Empowered! created a culture of giving with its inception in 2015. Each year, as part of our Give-Me-Five Program, we donate 5% of our profits to a local, education focused non-profit in the Bay Area. It's a way for our students to give a high five for learning to students throughout the region. It's important that all students have access to necessary support and educational resources.

The founder's mother, Audrey Wilson, was a public school teacher in Contra Costa County for 34 years. She loved teaching first grade because she got to teach kids how to read. She said she loved it so much, because she was giving her students a power that could never be taken from them. Like Audrey, we believe in the power of teaching, and the potential of each and every student to become empowered through learning.
